Cap San Diego

  • Single deck drainage line
  • Welded flanged steel pipe
  • Approximately 5 m pipe, DN 80, routed through the structure

The Cap San Diego is the famous museum ship located at the „Überseebrücke“ in the Port of Hamburg. It is the last of six ships built in Hamburg and Kiel in 1961 and 1962. The ship is still in operational condition. The damaged pipe, although short in length, caused water damage in the office during rainfall.

The pipe was repaired using the HANSELINER and the manual HANSESPRAY method. An inspector from Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, Southampton, was present for the acceptance of the process.
